NIS & RISC Review Terms of Use

Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the NIS & RISC Review mobile application and its study content (together, the “App”), published by One Rad Studio LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Not Affiliated With the ABR

NIS & RISC Review is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or any other certifying body, licensing authority, or professional society. “NIS” and “RISC” are used only to identify the exam sections the App's content is designed to help you prepare for. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

The App covers the NIS and RISC sections only — not the Core or Certifying examinations as a whole. We do not reproduce ABR examination questions. The App's questions and lessons are original material written for this App. We make no representation that using the App will result in a passing score, and no outcome is guaranteed.

Educational Use Only — Not Medical Advice

The App is provided for educational and exam-preparation purposes only. Its content — including dose limits, regulatory thresholds, drug names and doses, contrast-reaction management, and safety protocols — is presented to support exam study and does not constitute medical advice and is not a substitute for professional clinical judgment, institutional policy, current regulations, or primary sources.

Never rely on the App for patient care. Always verify clinical values and regulatory requirements against primary sources and your institution's policies before acting on them. You are solely responsible for any clinical decision you make.

License Granted to You

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal study.

Restrictions

You may not, and may not permit anyone else to:

  • Copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or otherwise make the App or any of its study content available to any third party;
  • Extract, scrape, export, bulk-download, or otherwise harvest the questions, explanations, lessons, flashcards, figures, or underlying content database, by any means, whether manual or automated;
  • Decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, decrypt, or attempt to derive the source code, content database, or any encryption key of the App, except to the limited extent such a restriction is expressly prohibited by applicable law;
  • Use the App or its content to build, train, or evaluate any competing product, question bank, dataset, or machine-learning model;
  • Share your copy with, or use it on behalf of, a group, program, class, or institution in a way that substitutes for individual copies;
  • Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice.

The App's content is protected by copyright. These restrictions are a material condition of the license granted above, and we enforce them.

Ownership

The App, its study content, its design, and all related intellectual property are owned by One Rad Studio LLC and are licensed, not sold, to you. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. Your study progress and any notes you create on your device belong to you.

Content Accuracy

The App's content is prepared carefully and is reviewed for accuracy, and every fact is cited to a source. Even so, examinations, regulations, and clinical guidance change, and errors can occur. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current, or error-free, and content may be corrected or updated at any time.

If you find an error, please use the “Report an issue” action in the App or email us — corrections help everyone.

Purchases and Refunds

Any purchase of the App is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. Pricing, billing, and refunds are governed by the terms of the store you purchased from, and refund requests must be directed to that store. We do not process payments and do not receive your payment details.

Privacy

The App collects no personal information. See the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ITS CONTENT WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS OR IMPROVE YOUR EXAM PERFORMANCE. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONE RAD STUDIO LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR EXAM OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IT. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

Termination

This license terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using the App and delete it from your devices. The sections on ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

Apple and Google

These Terms are between you and One Rad Studio LLC only, not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. The app stores are not responsible for the App or its content and have no obligation to provide support for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the App is the state and federal courts located in the State of New York, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws in your place of residence.
