About

The person behind the console.
Whoami

I’m Ryan Cummings, MD, a diagnostic radiologist in private practice in New York City. I build the tools I wished existed at the workstation — most of what’s here was made after hours to scratch a specific itch: a calculation I kept redoing by hand, a workflow that needed fewer clicks, an app that just didn’t exist yet.

I care about tools that are fast, honest about their math, and get out of your way. That’s the whole editorial line.

This site

rads.icu is a grab-bag of those tools. Some are radiology-specific — nuclear medicine calculators, a liver-iron estimator, and AutoHotkey scripts that automate the reading room. Others have nothing to do with medicine at all.

Everything runs entirely in your browser — no accounts, no server, nothing you type leaving the tab. Where a calculator implements a published formula, the math is held to that source and cited in the code. It’s all built with Next.js, exported as a static site, and served on Vercel. Dark by design.
