NIS & RISC Review Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 21, 2026

Overview

NIS & RISC Review (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is published by One Rad Studio LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. The short version: we collect nothing about your studying. NIS & RISC Review has no user accounts, no backend server, no analytics, and no advertising. The study content ships inside the app, and your study progress never leaves your device. The one exception is the optional in-app purchase: unlocking full access sends purchase-validation data to our payments processor, and nothing else. That is described in full under Purchases below.

Information We Collect

Nothing that identifies you, and nothing about your studying. The app does not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifying detail, and there is nothing to sign up for.

The single exception is the optional in-app purchase. If you buy or restore the full-access unlock, purchase-validation data is sent to our payments processor, RevenueCat — described under Purchases below. It contains no name, email address, or account information, and it is not linked to your identity.

Information Stored On Your Device

The app records your study activity so it can schedule reviews and show your progress. All of it is written to a private database on your device and is never transmitted anywhere:

  • Study progress: flashcard review history and scheduling state, question answers, practice results, and per-topic mastery.
  • Settings: your chosen exam date, daily review targets, reminder preferences, and display options.
  • Issue reports: if you tap “Report an issue” on a card or question, your note is stored locally so it can be reviewed and exported by you. It is not automatically sent to us.

On iOS and Android this database lives in the app's private sandbox, which other apps cannot read.

Network Use

NIS & RISC Review is designed to work fully offline: all study content ships inside the app, and no internet connection is needed to use it. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK, and it does not send your study data to us or to anyone else.

The app makes network requests in exactly one situation: when you buy or restore the full-access unlock. See Purchases below.

Notifications

If you enable study reminders, they are scheduled and delivered locally by your device. We do not operate a push-notification server, and no reminder information leaves your device. You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.

Purchases

NIS & RISC Review is free to use for the first two sections of each exam. Unlocking the remaining content is a single, one-time in-app purchase.

Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your card details, billing address, or store account.

To determine whether you have purchased the unlock — including when you reinstall the app, move to a new device, or tap Restore Purchases — the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-management service acting as our data processor. When you buy or restore, RevenueCat receives:

  • the App Store or Google Play transaction receipt for this app, which shows what was purchased and when;
  • a randomly generated, anonymous identifier that the app creates for this purpose alone;
  • basic technical information that accompanies any internet request, such as your device platform, app version, and IP address.

RevenueCat cannot see your Apple or Google account, your name, or your email address. Because the app has no accounts, none of this is linked to your identity. We use it only to validate the purchase, to restore it when you ask, and to see aggregate sales totals. RevenueCat's privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

No study data — progress, flashcard history, settings, or issue reports — is ever sent to RevenueCat or to us.

Third-Party Services

RevenueCat, described above, is the only third-party service the app integrates, and it receives only the purchase-validation data listed there. We do not sell, rent, or share your information.

If you download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, those stores handle your purchase and may collect information under their own privacy policies. That relationship is between you and the store — we receive only aggregate, anonymous sales reporting, which does not identify you.

Your Rights and Choices

  • Access: all of your data is visible within the app, and Settings includes an export of your study history.
  • Deletion: you can reset your progress from within the app's settings, or uninstall the app to remove all on-device data. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
  • No accounts: there is no account to close and no server-side copy of your data to request or erase.

Children's Privacy

NIS & RISC Review is a professional study tool intended for physicians and physicians-in-training. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

GDPR and CCPA

We do not collect or process personal data beyond the purchase-validation data described under Purchases, which is not linked to your identity and which we cannot use to identify you. We hold no profile of you, and there is no account or server-side copy of your study data to disclose, sell, correct, port, or erase. Where we act as a controller for purchase data, our legal basis is the performance of our contract with you — delivering and restoring the purchase you made. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, your rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA apply to that limited data; contact us at [email protected] to exercise them. Your on-device study data remains entirely under your control and can be removed at any time by resetting your progress or uninstalling the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date. If a future version of the app ever adds an optional account or sync feature, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and any such feature will be opt-in.
